Early Years Physical Literacy Program

Our JK/SK programs are specifically designed to support early childhood development by fostering confidence, cooperation, and foundational movement skills through structured, play-based activities. Each session introduces students to a variety of fundamental movement skills and age-appropriate sport concepts. Classes begin with a structured warm-up and stretching routine to encourage safe participation and healthy movement habits. Activities are designed to support both fine and gross motor development, including running, jumping, balancing, throwing, catching, and coordinated movement patterns. Instruction is delivered in a supportive, positive setting that encourages participation, effort, and individual progress.

Learning Outcomes
Participation in the program supports the development of the following skills and competencies:
  • Gross Motor Skills: balance, coordination, agility, and locomotor movement
  • Fine Motor Skills: controlled movements and basic equipment handling

Birthday Party Programs

Sports With Jay offers high-energy, safe, and well-structured birthday parties for children ages 3–12. Our parties are designed to keep children active, engaged, and having fun in a positive and supervised environment.

Program Options
All birthday parties are led by experienced instructors and use child-friendly equipment appropriate for each age group.
 
For Younger Children (Ages 3–6)
We recommend our signature Sports With Jay format, featuring high-energy games and activities that promote movement, teamwork, and fun. Activities may include:

  • Cooperative Games
For Older Children (Ages 7–12)

Train the Trainer Program

Our Train the Trainer program is designed to support the growth and development of your entire camp team, including CITs, LITs, counselors, and head staff. Through a fun, hands-on, and engaging approach, we help your staff gain the tools and confidence needed to deliver the best possible experience for every child at camp.
 
Using a creative and interactive training format, we teach staff a wide variety of fun, effective, and age-appropriate games that keep children engaged and active. We also focus on real-world camp challenges, such as working with children who may be reluctant to participate, highly energetic, or occasionally aggressive. Staff learn positive strategies to channel that energy into structured sports and movement activities, helping every child feel included and successful.
 
In addition, we train staff on fun and efficient ways to transition groups to and from activities—keeping schedules on track while maintaining a positive, energetic atmosphere. Safety is a core component of our training, and we reinforce your camp’s specific policies and procedures while demonstrating how to use everyday equipment safely and creatively. From beach balls and water noodles to ropes and bean bags, we provide over 100 adaptable activities that can be used indoors, outdoors, on rainy days, or in open spaces.
 
The program is flexible to meet your camp’s needs. It can be offered as part of pre-camp training, as weekly evening sessions throughout the summer, or as a high-energy booster session designed to re-energize and motivate staff. The result is a confident, enthusiastic team equipped with fresh ideas, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a fun, safe, and dynamic camp environment every single day.
